Sir Walter Scott described Perthshire as
“The fairest portion of the northern kingdom.”

Perthshire is a region of considerable variety and contrasts, encompassing areas of the Highlands to the west and north, and the verdant agricultural land renowned for soft fruit production to the south and east

For anglers,  fishing permits can be bought locally for access to the many trout and salmon fishing options in the area.
For winter sports enthusiasts, the Old Coach House is only 25 miles from Glenshee, Scotland's largest ski centre.
For motoring enthusiasts, Blairgowrie is the southern gateway to the North East 250 route.  For off-roaders, Scotland's Land Rover experience site is only 6 miles away.

If you intend to have a more relaxing time there are world-class spa facilities at Gleneagles and Crieff Hydro around 30 miles from The Old Coach House.
